This past Tuesday, just days after having his nominee for Attoryney General confirmed by the Senate, the Smirking POTUS reversed his long-standing opposition to issuing security clearances to DoJ investigators and is now allowing members of the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility to look into possible ethics violations by its staff with regards to the NSA’s domestic spy program. Michael Mukasey, who officially became the 81st United States Attorney General on Wednesday, is viewed by members on both sides of the aisle as someone who can help clean up the mess left behind by former AG Alberto Gonzales.
