The National Right to Life Committee officially endorsed former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson for president this past Tuesday. The influential group’s endorsement had been heavily lobbied for by several GOP candidates, including Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, but Mr. Thompson appeared to have won out in the end simply because, in the final analysis, he was the lesser of all evils. This, due to the fact that everyone in the current crop of Republican candidates has failed to meet, in one way or another, all of the Religious Right’s tenets when it comes to their uncompromising Right-to-Life point of view.
