Ride The Rails

Cargo trains once again began ferrying cargo between North and South Korea on Tuesday after a 56-year hiatus. The symbolic breakthrough, which was the result of the Korean summit held in October, has given rise to hopes in the South that passenger service may also be resumed someday, allowing the two warring nations to reconcile after decades of living side by side under a sometimes tense cease fire agreement. The train carried raw materials for the making of shoes to the north and returned later in the day with completed shoes and other garments.
