Parole
By Thomas JeffreyArticle Posted: Tuesday January 1, 2008
Sara Jane Moore, who attempted to assassinate former President Gerald Ford in 1975, was unexpectedly set free over the weekend, after spending the past 33 years in prison. Ms. Moore had been eligible for parole for quite some time, though it may have been Mr. Ford’s death nearly one year ago that finally set the process in motion. Ms. Moore, now 78 years old, dubiously expressed remorse for her actions at trial and has since blamed her involvement in radical leftist politics for her actions.
