Tehran – Iran announced on Monday that it had taken possession of a five-ton shipment of enriched uranium from its Russian supplier, giving that Middle Eastern nation enough nuclear fuel to bring it’s Bushehr light water reactor online by the end of this summer. The final shipment by the Russian supplier Atomstroyexport concludes an agreement between Iran and it’s neighbor to the north; an agreement that at one point seemed on verge of falling apart over apparent issues of financing. The United States remains dubious over Iran’s continued statements that its atomic energy program is domestic in nature and not a ploy for building a nuclear arsenal.
