TEL AVIV — Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s son Omri will start doing hard time in the big house next month for his role in illegal fund raising during his father’s 1999 election campaign. Mr. Sharon was convicted of taking $1.3 million from various groups, both within Israel and overseas, in support of his father’s candidacy, and will spend the next seven months in jail for the indiscretion.
