Facing 27 percent inflation and an economy in the toilet, Iranian President Mahmoud Admadinejad axed yet another member of his cabinet this past weekend. Tahmasseb Mazaheri, who held the position of Central Bank governor until this past Saturday when he was replaced with that bank’s general secretary, became the latest in a long string of ministers, vice-presidents, and other cabinet officials who have been dismissed by Iran’s kooky president since he took office back in 2005.
