Bernanke Part Deux

By Thomas Jeffrey Article Posted: Tuesday August 25, 2009

President Obama announced today that he was nominating Federal Reserve Chairman Benjamin Bernanke for another four year term at that post.

Interrupting his vacation on Martha’s Vineyard to make the announcement, President Obama stated that Mr. Bernanke has “led the Fed through the one of the worst financial crises that this nation and this world have ever faced” and looked forward to working with the Fed chairman in getting the nation back on track with regards to the current recession.

Mr. Bernanke, a former Princeton University economics professor and President Bush’s Council of Economic Advisers chair, was originally nominated to oversee the Federal Reserve Bank by the Smirking POTUS back in 2006 — a post charged with, among other things, verifying the soundness of America’s banks.

We all know how well things went in that regard under Mr. Bernanke’s watch. Color this Leftwing Nutjob unconvinced.
